OFFERINGS

This pottery course is an ongoing series exploring traditional hand building techniques to create functional and sculptural works. All experience levels are welcome. A minimum four week sign up is recommended to carry through the full process of building, firing, and glazing.

This course explores each of the building techniques including pinch, slab, coil, and combination styles. Focus will be given to advanced form building, relief carving, and artistry in the glazing process; experimenting  with slips, underglazing, stains, and glaze combinations. 

The class takes place at the Romero House of Pottery. Instruction, firing, and glazes are included with the course, however Cone 10 high fire clay may be purchased separately.
